Building Information Modeling (BIM) remains popular amongst our clients, as it continues to demonstrate significant improvement in cost control and the delivery of well-coordinated and thought through building projects, ensuring seamless installation processes and thus making site challenges a thing of the past. ADEPT Co’s expertise in the use of BIM technology is second to none and allows our clients to optimise digital collaboration between their consultants and contractors.
This is a process that begins at the commencement of a project, with the creation of an intelligent 3D model and enables document management, co-ordination, and simulation during the entire lifecycle of a project. The system is used to design and document the whole building design, allowing every element and detail to be modelled. The model is used for analysis to explore design options and to create visualizations, that help the client understand what the building will look like even before it is built. It is then used to generate design documentation, supporting the creation of intelligent data that can be used throughout the lifecycle of a building project.
There are four main phases to be considered throughout the project, from inception to end of life, as follows.
This shows pre planning information, allowing capture of real time data, incorporating the potential site for construction, the immediate area surrounding the proposed site, therefore enabling accurate models to be created of the current structures, infrastructure and environment.
This phase incorporates the architects conceptual design, based on a client brief, the civil and structural engineers’ analysis and design detail to be added, prior to project documentation being produced.
To allow an accurate project development where the materials are specified and manufactured in accordance with the BIM model that has been produced and as such shared with the trades/contractors ensuring an optimised and efficient project.
All captured data throughout the process is then translated into the operational and maintenance (O&M) manual of the completed client asset. Also, in future expansion, refurbishment, or eventual deconstruction.

ADEPT Co having an expertise in the use of BIM technology that is second to none and allows our clients to optimise digital collaboration between their consultants and contractors. Working closely with clients and the design team to develop an approach that considers all aspects, we understand the many benefits derived from developing the project utilising a 3D model including simulations, managing key design constraints and design team coordination.
